Epic Linen - Lithuanian Linen - CHRISTMAS DEADLINE FOR ORDERING HAS NOW PASSED

Family Trade

Epic Linen is a family run business in Lithuania by Ieva and Mindaugas, and their story began in the middle of last century with their grandparents Janina and Petras, who were great tailors working with linen textiles. Epic Linen is now the fourth generation linen textile industry experts and their shared passion for craft and design is rooted in their family history. Their great passion for designed textiles from natural materials is created in a simple yet very functional way, and their style is where a traditional look meets the modern.

Lithuania has long-lasting traditions in producing high quality linen fabrics and Epic Linen carefully selects fabrics from their local oldest manufacturers where Oeko - tex certified linens are produced.

Today they have a design house with sewing studio and manufacture all their linen which is cut and sewed by hand - this comes from the most important rule their grandparents taught them: none of the machines will change the human-master who adds to linen garment his heart and warmth.

Their grandparents believed such linen item made with love, warmth and great attention passed on to customer would make them feel happier and the garment would stand the test of time due to that endless effort and love put into the work they did. Epic Linen today strongly this to be true, and continue on with this mission.

Epic Linen -  not just a business!

Epic Linen - The Spirit Of Life!

Traditions Reinvented

In ancient times people lived closer and more immersed in nature, and in Lithuania, they took nature gifts with respect and gratitude, and even daily house tasks had rituals. Each family made their own bedding and clothing from flax planted and harvested in their own fields - it was a labour-intensive and tedious process and the evenings were spent spinning linen threads, sharing stories and singing in the candlelight.

Significant effort is put into weaving linen fabric and sewing clothing from it. Locals believed that energy, positive emotions and dreams people put in and experience during the process will be passed to those who wear it
